New to the world of Aflasafe, or know someone who is? Have 90 seconds to spare? That’s long enough for the highlights, in our exciting new video trailer. It’s a great resource for anyone who needs a quick introduction to the aflatoxin problem and how we’re solving it.
On our website we now have in-depth information on food safety and health, where you can discover the impacts of aflatoxin in causing liver cancer, damaging the immune and digestive systems, and stunting children’s development, as well as exploring food safety in the context of aflatoxin and Aflasafe.
We have also updated our press cuttings section to cover the whole of 2017 and the first half of 2018 – and we’re thrilled to note that Aflasafe has been mentioned in the media every single month since January 2017. A recent highlight was our collaborative news feature, Combating deadly aflatoxin in Ghana’s food, the Aflasafe GH02 solution, published in Ghana’s leading newspaper, The Daily Graphic on 25th June. This self-authored opinion piece was part of the media build-up ahead of the launch of Aflasafe GH02 in Accra, Ghana. Both our June product launches in Ghana and Burkina Faso enjoyed good media coverage.
In our R&D section you will find a new page on awards, so take the short tour to see what the world is saying about the peer-recognised science underpinning the Aflasafe magic. We’ve also enriched our country page for Nigeria, and we’re working on deploying similar pages for the other countries where Aflasafe is available.
The eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted our new privacy policy, explaining how we use and protect the personal information of anyone visiting our website or signing up to our email list. This was created to bring us into compliance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – that recent scourge of many of our inboxes! The biggest change is that future subscribers to our newsletter will need to explicitly opt in and accept the privacy policy as they sign up. Most current recipients won’t notice any difference, but if you are in Europe or if we don’t have a record of your region in our email list you should have received an email asking you to confirm your subscription. If you’re not sure, you can always update your details by re-subscribing in the box at the bottom left of any page of the Aflasafe website, or contact us.
