On 29^th June 2018, Aflasafe GH02 was officially launched in Accra to help combat aflatoxin contamination in Ghana’s food. The attendees celebrated the advent and outstanding performance of Aflasafe in Ghana – cutting contamination by 80–100% in maize and groundnuts – and got to grips with aflatoxin, deliberating on the need for greater awareness, incentives for farmers, and the potential for Aflasafe to transform access to markets. “We have reached another level in managing aflatoxin,” said Mr Harry Bleppony, representing the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, upon cutting the ribbon. “Aflasafe GH02 is a big relief for Ghana’s food chain.”
