The
1st Aflasafe for Africa Conference, fighting aflatoxin in food, on 4–5 November 2019, was hosted by the Aflasafe Technology Transfer and Commercialisation initiative (ATTC). It brought together our trailblazing manufacturing and distribution (M&D partners from across Africa, to report their progress on commercialising Aflasafe, exchange experiences and lessons learnt, build capacity and share developments in Aflasafe technology and production, and forge connections. It built links between M&D partners; governments, regulators and regional communities; suppliers of manufacturing equipment and consumables; and aflatoxin-conscious commodity buyers such as food processors and traders, all of whom were also represented.
